Financial decisions influence nearly every part of an organization, from budgeting and investment planning to risk management and long-term growth. As financial information becomes more complex, artificial intelligence can help professionals analyse data efficiently and prepare clearer insights for decision-makers.
With this focus, NetCom Learning Bangladesh recently conducted a specialized session on “AI for Finance” for the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI). The training was held at Edison Prime.
The session explored how finance professionals can move beyond time-consuming manual processes and incorporate AI-assisted methods into selected workflows. Participants examined practical applications in financial data synthesis, forecasting support, variance analysis, risk identification, report preparation, and management communication.
Predictive modelling was one of the key areas discussed during the training. Using relevant historical data, analytical tools can help finance teams examine trends and develop possible business scenarios. Such models should support—not replace—professional judgment, and their results must be reviewed against current market conditions and verified financial information.

Participants also explored advanced prompting techniques for producing structured summaries, extracting information from documents, comparing financial scenarios, and preparing initial reporting frameworks. These capabilities can reduce time spent organizing information, allowing professionals to focus more closely on interpretation, planning, and strategic evaluation.
The session was led by MD Imdadul Islam, Head of Training at NetCom Learning Bangladesh, and Hassan Md. Zubair, Subject Matter Expert. As AI CERTs® Certified Trainers, they demonstrated how financial expertise and AI-assisted workflows can be combined to address practical business requirements.
Responsible AI use remained central to the discussion. Financial and organizational data should only be processed through approved systems, while AI-generated calculations, projections, and risk assessments must be checked for accuracy. Data privacy, model limitations, regulatory requirements, auditability, and human accountability are essential considerations before AI outputs inform financial decisions.
As a national chamber representing Bangladesh’s industrial community, BCI’s investment in practical AI learning reflects the growing importance of digital capabilities across the country’s business and manufacturing sectors. Building these skills can help professionals approach financial information with greater efficiency while preserving the judgment and accountability their work requires.
Special appreciation goes to Hassan Md. Zubair and Peyal Sarker for their coordination and contribution to making the session successful.
