As artificial intelligence becomes part of education and professional life, students need more than access to new tools. They need the ability to communicate objectives clearly, evaluate generated information, refine their instructions, and apply AI with creativity and responsibility.

On December 30, 2025, the multipurpose hall of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) hosted the “AI for Future Leaders” session and Agent X AI Prompting Competition Prize-Giving Ceremony. The program brought students together to explore practical AI skills while recognizing the achievements of the competition participants and winners.

The session introduced students to the foundations of effective prompt engineering. Participants explored how adding relevant context, defining a clear objective, setting appropriate constraints, and specifying the required output format can improve the usefulness of an AI-generated response.

They also learned that effective prompting is not about memorizing a collection of commands. It is an iterative process that involves understanding the problem, testing an instruction, reviewing the response, identifying weaknesses, and refining the prompt accordingly.

Responsible academic use remained an important part of the learning experience. Students should verify facts and references, protect personal and institutional information, follow university guidelines, and disclose AI assistance whenever required. Generated content should support—not replace—independent thinking and original work.

The Agent X Prize-Giving Ceremony celebrated participants who demonstrated promising skills in communicating with generative AI. Their achievement reflected a combination of creativity, structured thinking, technical curiosity, and the ability to evaluate and improve an AI response.

The awards were presented by Ishaan Bin Zillur Rahman, Senior Manager–Sales; MD Imdadul Islam, Head of Training & Solutions; and Md. Rafiqul Islam, Business Development Executive. Their participation helped connect the students’ learning experience with the communication, analytical, and digital capabilities valued in modern workplaces.

For the participants and award recipients, the competition represents a valuable step in a much longer learning journey. Their future impact will depend not only on how well they can direct an AI tool, but also on how thoughtfully, ethically, and creatively they apply those capabilities to real problems.
