Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry operates through closely connected processes—from merchandising and sourcing to production planning, quality assurance, compliance, and shipment coordination. A delay or information gap in one area can affect delivery schedules, buyer communication, resource allocation, and overall operational performance.
To explore how artificial intelligence could support these responsibilities, Mondol Group welcomed NetCom Learning Bangladesh for an in-depth training program on “AI for RMG Professionals.”
The training focused on the practical relevance of AI across corporate and production-related workflows. Participants explored how well-designed AI-assisted processes could help professionals organize information, prepare initial analyses, streamline routine communication, and complete repetitive knowledge-based tasks more efficiently.

The discussion included possible applications in supply chain analysis, production and resource planning, buyer communication, reporting, and operational coordination. Participants also examined how AI could help summarize approved business information and identify patterns that may support faster, better-informed decisions.
Buyer communication was another relevant area of exploration. AI can assist professionals in drafting initial responses, organizing requirements, and adapting communication for different stakeholders. However, pricing, production commitments, compliance statements, and delivery information must always be checked by authorized employees before being shared.
The session emphasized that effective AI adoption does not begin with selecting a popular tool. It begins with identifying a specific operational problem, reviewing the existing workflow, assessing data quality, assigning accountability, and establishing a measurable definition of improvement.
AI-generated forecasts, recommendations, and summaries should remain subject to professional review. Experienced RMG professionals must continue to consider buyer requirements, production capacity, material availability, compliance obligations, and current operational conditions before making consequential decisions.
Information security is equally important. Buyer specifications, costing sheets, supplier terms, production records, employee information, and internal forecasts should only be processed through secure systems approved by the organization. Clear policies and responsible usage practices are essential for wider AI adoption.
The training created an opportunity for Mondol Group professionals to consider where AI could genuinely complement their industry expertise. Building this combination of domain knowledge, digital capability, and responsible oversight can help RMG teams improve workflow consistency while adapting to the evolving requirements of global apparel manufacturing.
We appreciate the collaboration with Mondol Group and the active participation of its professionals throughout the training. The initiative reflects a meaningful commitment to developing a more capable, adaptable, and future-ready workforce for Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
