Global apparel manufacturing depends on far more than production capacity. Materials, inventory, quality, schedules, documentation, and international deliveries must remain coordinated from the first stage of sourcing to the final shipment.
To explore how artificial intelligence can strengthen this coordination, NetCom Learning Bangladesh facilitated a strategic training program on “AI for Supply Chain” for professionals at New Asia Group.
As a vertically integrated apparel manufacturing organization working across spinning, fabric production, value addition, and garments, New Asia Group manages a supply chain in which information must move accurately between multiple functions. The session examined how AI can help teams analyse operational data and respond more efficiently to changing business requirements.
Participants explored potential applications of AI in demand analysis, inventory planning, supplier coordination, production scheduling, logistics, and reporting. Generative AI tools were also introduced as a way to summarize documents, organize supply chain information, prepare routine communication, and support faster analysis.

The training emphasized that AI-generated recommendations should not replace professional judgment. Reliable supply chain decisions require accurate organizational data, careful validation, appropriate data protection, and input from experienced professionals who understand the operational context.
By developing practical AI capabilities among its supply chain professionals, New Asia Group is strengthening the knowledge needed for more informed planning and efficient coordination. The session demonstrated how human expertise and intelligent tools can work together to support a more responsive apparel supply chain.
