Navigating the Digital Landscape: Inside Our UNDP Bangladesh AI, Equity, and Inclusion Workshop

As international development sectors and civil society organizations across Bangladesh navigate an increasingly digitized ecosystem, integrating artificial intelligence responsibly has become paramount. Navigating this modern digital landscape requires ensuring that technological advancements align strictly with principles of equity, inclusion, and transparency—especially when addressing the unique challenges faced by the non-profit and development sectors.

To foster this vital dialogue, NetCom Learning Bangladesh recently conducted a specialized workshop titled “AI, Equity, and Inclusion” (part of the Civil Society Understanding in the Digital Landscape initiative under ISPAT) for representatives at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.

Responsible AI Integration for the Development Sector

Empowering humanitarian and non-profit organizations with modern technological frameworks requires more than teaching basic software tools. During this specialized workshop, our expert facilitators focused on how civil society representatives can responsibly adopt artificial intelligence to elevate daily productivity, streamline project operations, and scale community impact.

The curriculum emphasized building robust AI governance models that ensure inclusivity, prevent systemic biases, and align digital transformation strategies with the core social missions of attending non-governmental organizations.

Participant Perspective and Testimonial

Valuable institutional training programs are best highlighted by the practical takeaways and enthusiasm of attending professionals. Sharing her firsthand insights on the impact of the curriculum, Fatema Jahan Jini, representing the ISPAT project at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bangladesh, noted:

“Our workshop today focused on civil society understanding within the digital landscape, where AI plays a major factor in Bangladesh’s ongoing digital journey. The session conducted by NetCom Learning Bangladesh focused heavily on how we can integrate AI into our daily work to make our operations much more effective. NGO representatives thoroughly enjoyed the session, learned about many new tools, and expressed a strong desire to organize similar training sessions moving forward to help establish strong AI governance in Bangladesh.”

Building a Strong AI Governance Framework in Bangladesh

Equipping vital development organizations and civil society networks with advanced, responsible digital competencies ensures long-term operational resilience, equity, and inclusive national growth. Through specialized institutional training programs, NetCom Learning Bangladesh continues to partner with leading international and national entities to foster sustainable digital transformation.
