In apparel manufacturing, operational efficiency depends on thousands of connected decisions. Production planning, quality control, materials, inventory, workforce coordination, and delivery schedules must remain aligned to meet demanding buyer expectations.
To explore how artificial intelligence can support these responsibilities, NetCom Learning Bangladesh conducted a specialized session on “Leveraging AI for Operational Efficiency” at the Panam Group facility in Narayanganj.
Panam Group operates across multiple stages of apparel manufacturing, including textiles, knitting, dyeing, printing, washing, embroidery, garments, and logistics. This integrated environment creates valuable opportunities to use data more effectively across production and business operations.
During the session, participants explored potential applications of AI in production planning, quality monitoring, operational reporting, resource allocation, and data-informed decision-making. The discussion also considered how predictive analysis could help teams recognize patterns and prepare for potential production challenges.

Generative AI applications were demonstrated for summarizing operational information, preparing reports, organizing workflow data, and improving communication between teams. Used effectively, these tools can reduce time spent on repetitive administrative tasks and create more room for planning and problem-solving.
The training also addressed the importance of responsible implementation. AI-generated insights must be based on reliable data, reviewed by experienced professionals, and evaluated within the actual production context. Technology should support—not replace—the judgment of the people responsible for quality, safety, compliance, and operational performance.
Panam Group’s investment in workforce development reflects a practical approach to innovation within Bangladesh’s RMG sector. By helping employees understand both the potential and limitations of AI, the organization is building capabilities that can support greater efficiency, adaptability, and sustainable operational improvement.
The successful session was made possible through the active participation of the Panam Group professionals and the careful coordination of the NetCom Learning Bangladesh team.
